Roald Dahl Class (Year 4)

In Year 4 this term we have been enjoying investigating our local area and green spaces.  We have carried out surveys and created bar charts which show a range of different topics, including which park is the most popular of the pupils across the school.  In Art we have been looking at the painting Tiger in a Tropical Storm by Henri Rousseau.  We investigated how to create different shades of green and brown using paint, then used different media, including oil pastels, to create our own tropical storm pictures.  In Science we have been learning all about the human digestive system, which involved making working models of this out of different materials – we really enjoyed seeing our models get rid of the ‘waste’ (yuk!)

Next week we go on our eagerly awaited residential trip to Eaton Vale  Activity Centre, where we will take part in lots of different outdoor adventure activities, including archery, canoeing, raft building and wall climbing!
