We have had a great term in Year 4.
During PE this term we have been focusing on Dance. Our theme has been ‘Space’ and we have choreographed a whole class piece based on the idea of an astronaut going up into space and landing on the moon in a spacecraft. We were lucky enough to visit The Garage last month and take part in a dance workshop led by a professional dancer. Since our workshop we have been rehearsing our dance and we can’t wait to perform it in assembly.
We have really stepped up our maths learning this term and have been diving into Fractions. We have had to use our skills such as counting on, adding and subtract in a new context, but it has been great to challenge ourselves.
In our Destination Reader sessions we have entered the world of the farmyard by reading Charlotte’s Web. Over the past few weeks we have becoming very fond of Charlotte, Wilbur and even Templeton, the rat! So, even through we are pleased to have reached our goal of finishing the book, we are sad to say goodbye to our new friends.
