Magdalen Gates has adopted the new National Curriculum as of September 2014 for all year groups except years 2 and 6 who adopted the new curriculum from September 2015 as directed by government. The National Curriculum is followed and forms one part of our school curriculum. Our school curriculum is story based and subjects are taught in a cross curricular way. Our curriculum encourages and offers opportunities for children to develop to be independent, confident and responsible citizens. We aim to provide exciting, stimulating and meaningful learning experiences which best equip our children for their future.
Magdalen Gates Primary is a good school (Ofsted, 2018) that is working very hard to become an excellent school. Our school motto, ‘Working together to give every child the best’ describes what we are trying to achieve and how we are intending to get there.
