Anthony Browne Class (Year 3)

What a great start to Year 3. The children have settled in to the “big end” and are enjoying their learning. We have been very impressed with the way the term has started.

Our topic is the Stone Age so in English we have learned to orally retell one of the many legends about how Stonehenge came to be: The Sun and her Followers. We are now enjoying The book Stone Age Boy and look forward to writing diary entries this week.

We have enjoyed a week of inspirational maths and the children are keen mathematicians with a real can do attitude.

In Science we are learning about Rocks and Soils and we made chocolate rocks to help us try to remember the different types of rock there are and how they are made.
Overall a great start to an interesting term and year ahead.
