Michael Morpugo Class (Year 6)

All the children in Year 6 have made an excellent start to the year.  We’ve excitedly heard, told and written our story for this half term–The Crow that Brought the Light.  This has inspired us in various ways and in many different subjects.  Being an Inuit story, The Crow that Brought the Light has provided us with ideas that we’ve been exploring in art, such as inukshuks.
The story has linked well to our North America topic.  Our knowledge of the countries, climate and other features of North America has been growing during geography lessons.  Organisms in North America and other continents has been our focus in science.  Our classification of different types of creatures have been improved by grouping organisms and using branching datab ases.
